Meals at The Ridge
The Ridge is the restaurant of Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino, offering à la carte dishes for the whole family in an easygoing dining room decorated with local artwork. Its doors are open daily between 8 am and 9 pm. Breakfast runs until 11 am, which is also when hotel check-out falls.
Once the restaurant closes at 9 pm, room service takes over for hotel guests. How late it runs is not published, so the front desk is the place to ask. Holiday hours are not published either; the main line, 403-881-2830, answers that before a long weekend.
Food and screens at Sidelines
At Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino, Sidelines Lounge is located in the casino area. Its menu offers comfort food plus beer and spirits, and the room has VLTs and sports playing on the screens. Daily hours run from 10 am to 2 am. Food orders close at 11 pm on Sunday to Thursday evenings, while Friday and Saturday nights see the kitchen stay open until midnight.
As on the main casino floor, the lounge does not allow smoking. Smokers have a separate room of slot machines in the casino's back left corner. Because Sidelines sits within the casino, Alberta's gambling age of 18 applies, and anyone who looks younger than 25 must be asked by staff for valid government-issued photo ID.
Eating after 9 pm
After The Ridge closes at 9 pm, hotel guests can order room service. How late it runs is not published, so ask the front desk. At Sidelines, food stays available until 11 pm from Sunday through Thursday, and on Fridays and Saturdays until midnight.
Coffee, tea and water are free and self-serve on the casino floor; for anything else, servers take orders and sell drinks right at your seat. Regular nights and dining specials at Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino are listed at stoneynakodaresort.com/events.
